Updated Guidance for Enterprise Funds
DOR’s Division of Local Services has issued IGR 2021-11 providing the latest summary of the law regarding the establishment and proper accounting for enterprise funds (M.G.L. c.44, §53F½). Juneteenth is a New State Holiday, Offices Must be Closed
Public offices are required to be closed on all legal holidays. Last year a new legal holiday was added to the calendar – June 19, “Juneteenth Independence Day.” This year, not many offices are likely to be affected since June 19, 2021 is a Saturday, but be sure to build recognition of the holiday into your collective bargaining agreements and personnel policies.
