MAPC Guidance on Extreme Heat Policies
With record-setting area temperatures already occurring and summer now in full swing, school districts should consider adopting policies to keep students, teachers and staff cool, comfortable and healthy in the classroom. The Metropolitan Area Planning Council worked with the Massachusetts Association of Health Boards to create several variations of model policies for schools and school districts addressing extreme heat and indoor air quality.Â
